BOARD NEWS

Tiskre Update

From April 29th, the nets will start to be put back together. An announcement will be made to all clubs as soon as the ground is open and ready for use.

Tiskre Third Ground

Works on Ground 3 will commence shortly. We have to have a field ready to be played on by July.

Clubhouse

A temporary clubhouse has been purchased and will be erected as soon as permits are issued. This does not belong to EKL but we will have access to it when it is not being used for private events.

Tartu Facilities

We have had some positive talks with the local councils and will be submitting a proposal for development soon.

 

OPERATIONS

ICC Europe Regional Conference

EKL Operations Manager Terry O’Connor attended a 2 day ICC Europe Regional Conference in Athens on April 10 & 11, there were lots of fascinating sessions on a range of topics, from Cricket for Social Change to a new ICC global Anti-Corruption Code.

ECS Tallinn

The start of the outdoor season is almost upon us, and this year we begin with the ECS Tallinn Men’s T10 competition, which will broadcast world wide via ECN. The competition runs from May 13 to May 24.

Viking Security EPL T20

The Men’s T20 League, Division 1 and 2 begins on June 1 and will conclude on July 21.

Naiste Esiliiga 2024

The women’s T10 league starts on 30 June and ends July 14 with matches between Saaremaa KK and Tiskre Penguins.

SBH Solutions Pro40 Liiga

The teams that will compete in this years SBH Solutions Pro40 Liiga are Tallinn Hippos Pro40, Tallinn Riders, Tallinn Stallions. Tallinn Strikers, Tallinn United & Tartu Wolves

Terry O’Connor and Jan Hilhorst (Netherlands) will be presenting our first ICC Level 1 Umpiring Practical Assessment in Tallinn.

Maret Valner and Richard Savage (Finland) will be presenting an ICC Level 1 Coaching Practical Assessment in Tallinn.

Non-Stop Cricket Tournaments

Following the successful conclusion of our introduction to cricket programs in Tallinn and Tartu, we will be holding non-stop cricket tournaments in both citites.
