My cricket journey started at the Tallinn Art School, when the representatives of the Estonian Cricket Association came to introduce the sport. At first, everything seemed very scary, because the rules and methodology are very different from all known sports. In hindsight, I think it was the novelty of cricket that fascinated me with the sport. I joined the Tallinn Cricket Club at the age of 14.
I quickly found out, with a seemingly difficult sports at first, that I enjoy and see myself playing criket. This is where the ’’snowball effect’’ started rolling rapidly. I stood out with my skills to the representatives of the Estonian Cricket Association and was appointed captain of Estonian Womens team, and I had the opportunity to travel with the team to Italy, the Netherlands and Finland. The Estonian Womens team was praised by the officials and other trainers in the tournaments, because we stood out with our endurance, great team spirit and consistency.
While training myself, I also started training juniors. In 2013, the Estonian Cricket Association started again with the school programm where it initially started for me. The aim of which was to introduce schoolchildren to a world-famous sport that is widely known in the world but unknown in Estonia. As part of the school program, cricket trainings took place during physical education classes for 16 weeks in 4 different schools. Tallinn English College, Pelgulinna Gymnasium, Tallinn International school and 21st Secondary School joined the program. At the end of the program, a tournament was held at Tallinn Hipodroom.
Cricket has shown me many different cultures and opened many doors to new opportunities. My career as a coach started with youth training. Through cricket, I have found people in my circle of acquaintances who inspire me on a daily basis.

Kooliprogrammi raames toimusid kriketi trennid kehalise kasvatuse tundide ajal 16 nädala jooksul 4 erinevas koolis. Kooliprogrammiga liitusid Tallinna Inglise Kolledž, Pelgulinna gümnaasium, Tallinn International school ja 21. Keskkool. Programmi lõpus toimusid Tallinna Hipodroomil suurejoonelised võistlused.
Kriket on mulle näidanud mitmeid erinevaid kultuure ja avanud mitmeid uksi uutele võimalustele. Noorte treeningutest sai alguse minu karjäär treenerina. Läbi kriketi olen leidnud endale tutvusringkonda inimesi, kes innustavad mind igapäevaselt.
