EKL + Nord Spordiklubi Cooperation

EKL have entered into a partnership with Nord Spordiklubi. As part of this partnership Nord will be offering cricket as part of their Multisport program.

MCC Tour
The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) will tour Estonia in late July, early August 2024. They will participate in the Baltic Cup as well as play some friendly games.

Clothing and Equipment Rules and Regulations
Starting May 1 our new Clothing and Equipment Rules and Regulations come into effect. Please ensure you are familiar with these as there are penalties for not complying with the regulations for both teams and individuals.

DEVELOPMENT

Introduction to Cricket Program – Juniors + Women
We will be running a 4 week program both in Tallinn and Tartu to introduce new players to cricket. We will have one session per day for Juniors aged 7-12, and one session per day for Women and Juniors aged 13-17. The sessions will be run in Estonian and English.

Nord Spordiklubi Coaches
EKL has trained 9 coaches from Nord Spordiklubi as Criiio Facilitators. They will teach groups of kids cricket as part of their sports program.

Coaching and Support staff updates
Congratulations to Women’s NT Head coach, Terry O’Connor on becoming one of the first in the world to successfully complete the ICC level 2 Advanced Coach course in December 2023.

Annemari Vessik has stepped down as Manager of the Women’s National Team as she is returning to playing. We are pleased to announce that the new manager is Medha Gooch. She was chosen by the selection panel based on her years of experience in similar roles.
