Facilities Care

We are now in full swing of the next round of leagues for the T20, and as such we would like to remind the clubs of a few things to help keep everything running smoothly and make sure the facilities are nice for everyone to use.

Please ensure you use the correct bins, one for bottles and cans and one for general waste. The recycling bin is not there to be used if the other bin is full. We now have an extra large bin by the groundskeeping container so if the bin is full please try and take it over to empty or simply take any excess away with you. Iqos and cigarette butts shouldn’t be left around nets or grounds so please tidy up after yourselves or we will need to revert back to the smoking zones if we cannot manage to tidy up after ourselves.

If you are on pack up please remember the 30 yards discs and ropes (ropes only for last match of weekend). Equipment should be put in the relevant ground section of the container not in the corridor where it blocks access to things further back.

European Cricket Series Tallinn

This year’s European Cricket Series Tallinn was a huge success.

Six teams competed this year, with Tallinn United, Tallinn Strikers, Tallinn Hippos and Tallinn Stallions winning their way through to finals day.

The final between Tallinn Stallions and Tallinn Hippos saw the top two teams from the League stage face off, with Stallions batting first and setting an imposing 183/5 with openers Rifaq Khan (67) and Saif Rehman (77) scoring the bulk of the runs. Henri Pattenden and Kalle Vislapuu each picked up two wickets for the Hippos.

In response the Hippos could only manage 156/5 despite a brilliant 82 from Nicolas Salonen. Aditya Panwar took 2 wickets for the Stallions.
